Materials Needed:
- Crepe Paper (Pink, White and Green)
- Scissors
- Glue
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Wooden Skewer
- Black Marker
- Thread
Step 1
Take six pieces of 4 x 10 cm of crepe paper.
Step 2
Take one piece of paper and fold it in half length wise. Then cut it in a leaf shape as showing below, these will be the petals of the lily flower. Repeat the same process with the remaining pieces of the paper.
Step 3
Apply glue to the bottom edge of one petal and attach the other petal to it. Then, apply glue to the bottom edge of the second petal and attach the third petal to it.
Step 4
After that, roll the petals in order to form a flower shape, then apply glue to the bottom to stick them together.
Step 5
Now, take the fourth petal and apply glue to the bottom of it. Then, stick it at the center of the two existing petals, as demonstrated below. Repeat the same process with the remaining two petals.
Step 6
Then, take a pencil or a pen to curve the petals. You can also use a wooden skewer to curve the petals.
Step 7
Cut 7mm strips from a 5 x 8 cm sheet of the same crepe paper. You will need about 6 to 7 strips for the center of the Lily flower.
You don’t have to cut the paper neatly, as the strips will be twisted in the next step.
Step 8
Grab a strip and start twisting it. Repeat the same process with the remaining strips.
Step 9
Now take a black color marker and paint the tip of each strip.
Step 10
Place all the strips of crepe paper around the tip of the wooden skewer, then wrap a thread around it and tie a knot. The thread should be in the same color as the crepe paper.
Step 11
Insert the wooden skewer inside the flower. Wrap the thread around the skewer several times and tie a knot to secure the flower.
Step 12
Cut a 1 x 25 cm strip of green crepe paper. Wrap the strip around the base of the flower, down to the base of the wooden skewer.
Step 13
Cut six pieces measuring 2.5 x 7 cm from green crepe paper. Fold each piece in half lengthwise and then cut it into a leaf shape.
Step 14
Use a pencil or a wooden skewer to curve the leaves, then start gluing the leaves around the stem of the lily flower.
And your beautiful Jersey Lily is ready 😊
