Claire Haithwaite was born in Jersey and, at the age of 18, moved to London to pursue a career in design, publishing and retail design. Eventually she moved to Amsterdam where she renovated a number of Dutch canal houses.
As a writer and former dance teacher with a passion for history, Kary’s love of her Island home inspired her to qualify as a Blue Badge Tourist Guide, and to become a site guide for Jersey Heritage.
Jersey is perhaps best-known for its fine beaches, warm summer weather and distinctive French influence, which help to draw in thousands of tourists every year.
As I have found to my delight, caravanning or motorhoming can be a great way to see Jersey and although the choice of caravan sites may be small, each one offers something very unique.
